Aloha! A Colorado native who has been teaching swim lessons for 10+ years, I have always loved being in and around the swimming pool and swam competitively throughout high school and college.
I believe in hands-on, progressive, safe, and goal-based swim lessons. Students make significant progress on their swimming goals EACH class. My swim lessons are VERY hands-on and I'm in the water every lesson, no matter what.
Combining games, drills, and specific skill sets means that students are constantly improving and developing their strokes. With a background in competitive swimming and lifeguard -ing, I make sure that participants are learning skills that sync with national standards.
I am comfortable with all ages and abilities, from the complete beginner to the triathlete! I especially excel with young children who are nervous of the water and older children interested in perfecting their swim stroke. I also have experience teaching kids with autism and epilepsy.
When I'm not teaching, you can find me kayaking with Maui's wildlife, walking my dog, or swimming laps at our beautiful local lap pools!
See ya at the pool!

Aloha! My name is Sarah Hunt and I love all things swimming. Born and raised on Lake Michigan, my earliest and best childhood memories are of swimming at the beach or the pool. Sharing my passion for swimming and helping my swimmers grow in confidence and skill is one of my greatest joys.
My experience includes 16 years of competitive swimming from age group through college, and 7+ years of coaching and teaching swimming in Michigan and Chicago. Finally, I decided it was time to move to Maui, where I get to be in and surrounded by the largest body of water year round! I enjoy teaching all ages - from babies to adult triathletes, as well as individual and group lessons.
My teaching style prioritizes safety, swim team readiness, and having fun! This includes designing personalized lessons according to each swimmer’s needs, and communicating progress and areas for growth to swimmers and their parents.
The water has always been my second home, and I would love to welcome you in!
